Today, September 21, 2012, is the United Nations International Day of Peace. Students in HB's Primary School are marking the occasion by participating in Pinwheels for Peace. This international project is undertaken by hundreds of thousands of children around the world each year.
Children across the globe think about what peace means to them and place their wishes for peace on pinwheels. Then, the wind blows these wishes out into the universe for everyone to share.
This morning, the lawn in front of Prime is decorated with dozens of beautiful colorful pinwheels, each spinning wishes out into the universe. What a great reminder that we're all citizens of the world.
